Joyful Mysteries

The Word Becomes Flesh. Pray slowly, keep the Gospel scene before the mind, and allow each Hail Mary to carry the mystery deeper into the heart.

Ave Cordis Rosary

Scripture • Contemplation • Perseverance

Each decade begins with a Scripture reference and the traditional spiritual fruit. Read the meditation, carry the reflection into prayer, then use the ten brief points—one with each Hail Mary—without rushing the words of the Rosary.

1
Mystery 1Luke 1:26–38Fruit: Humility

The Annunciation

The angel Gabriel enters the hidden life of Nazareth and announces a plan greater than Mary could have imagined. She does not understand every consequence, yet she receives the word of God with faith. The eternal Son takes flesh within her through the power of the Holy Spirit. Salvation begins with a humble and obedient yes.

Ave Cordis Reflection

God often begins His greatest works in hidden places.

Humility does not demand control before obedience.

Mary shows that surrender to God is strength, not passivity.

Our Father

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

2
Mystery 2Luke 1:39–56Fruit: Charity

Our Father

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

3
Mystery 3Luke 2:1–20Fruit: Poverty of Spirit

The Nativity

The King of creation enters the world in poverty, laid in a manger because there is no room at the inn. Mary and Joseph receive Him in simplicity while angels announce glory to shepherds.
